Landscape II is a full service landscape design and installation company located in Centre County, PA.
Our office is in Boalsburg, a small town outside of State College, PA home of Penn State University. We have been in business since 1970 specializing in high end residential and commercial design and implementation.

Gary Grunthaner is the owner and operator of Landscape II. Gary graduated from Penn State University in 1968 with a degree in Horticulture and started the business that has evolved into one of the premier landscape design and installation companies in Central Pennsylvania. He manages all of the day-to-day scheduling, ordering, and office personnel.

David Pechmann is a Registered Landscape Architect who has been with Landscape II since 1970. He graduated from Penn State and has been with the company for his entire career bringing a wealth of talent to our staff. David's passion for great design is reflected in his gardens that truly stand the test of time and are easily recognizable as some of the most beautiful in the region. |

Lara DeLattre Kauffman is a Registered Landscape Architect who has been with Landscape II for fourteen years. She graduated from PSU in 1993 with a BS of Landscape Architecture. She has received numerous awards from the Pennsylvania Landscape and Nurseryman's Association for her design work on both residential and commercial projects in Centre County. She loves to garden and is passionate about all aspects of garden design, especially those that include interesting hardscapes, perennials, and ornamental grasses. Lara has also served on the State College Borough Design Review Board for the last 6 years. |
John B. Oleksa Jr. is a Registered Landscape Architect who was with Landscape II in the late 1980's as a Crew Foreman, then transferred from PSU to Cornell University (Ithica, NY), and graduated in 1993 with BS in Landscape Architecture. Since then, John has worked at Waterloo Gardens (Exton, PA) and Felicita (Harrisburg, PA) prior to his return to Landscape II. John works on residential as well as commerical projects in our office.

Robert Fox has been a foreman with Landscape II for over 20 years. Bob is our head mechanic, head carpenter, and complete engineer in all aspects of electrical work, lighting, and water garden installation. He has installed the Arts Festival Promenade for the last 20 years. Bob has been the mainstay that helps our visions become creations. |
Damien Grunthaner is our hardscaping foreman and equipment operator. He is the son of Gary and heads our snow removal services. Damien is a master in the art of stone and paving. |

Matthew Sauers is our head planting foreman. Matt attended PSU in Landscape Architecture and assists in site analysis and design implementation. Matt is one of the friendly faces you will see working in your garden when we complete the job. |
